Application service provider F24 sets new standards in the security industry by publishing availability statistics for its FACT24 service. Since February 2007, the company has posted monthly operation and failure statistics for its notification and alarm service on the Internet. In the event of an emergency, the service enables clients to notify their management and emergency operations teams automatically using a variety of communication channels, set up spontaneous telephone conferences or activate an information hotline. F24 AG guarantees availability of 99.98 per cent for the telephone systems used in the notification and alerting procedures. The April figures showed availability of 100 per cent, thus once again outperforming the guaranteed service level.Maximum availability is a key feature of FACT24 Notification and Conferencing Service. A sophisticated security and backup concept guarantees maximum failsafe operation of the service to its clients by providing for redundant structures throughout the entire FACT24 process chain. For companies that operate their own alarm server, precautions at this security level would involve enormous costs and effort.
“By actively publicizing the availability record of our FACT24 Notification and Conferencing Service, we are setting new standards in the industry", stresses Manfred Lang, Corporate Technology Officer at F24 AG. “As far as we are aware, no other competitor gives its clients the opportunity to check the levels of service availability promised.”
