F24 AG plans certification in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and BS-25999 in 2010
F24 is currently in the process of introducing an integrated management system for information security (ISMS) and business continuity (BCMS). Certification of this management system in accordance with the international standards ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and BS-25999 is scheduled for completion during the course of the year.
Why information security and business continuity? As a leading provider of alerting and crisis management solutions, F24 primarily depends on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its information and services. This forms the basis of the security and reliability that its customers demand – particularly in a crisis. Information security and business continuity are critical for F24, and will continue to strengthen the company's trust-based relationships with clients, partners, shareholders and staff in the future.
The international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2005 defines the concrete requirements that must be met by an Information Security Management System (ISMS), the integrated approach that must be taken to all critical processes and the information held by the company. Business continuity in accordance with BS-25999 guarantees that the FACT24 system will continue to function throughout emergencies. Both standards require that systems are continuously monitored and improved by applying the PDCA cycle. Annual external audits are held to establish the company's compliance with these requirements and its consistent implementation of any necessary actions and continuous improvement of all processes.
Benefits for clientsF24 AG guarantees its clients ultra-high availability services and secure, reliable communication in the event of a crisis or emergency. Certification in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and BS-25999 is planned for the third quarter of 2010. Annual surveillance audits will monitor the company's ongoing compliance with the requirements and guidelines of the standards.
